In the service of saxophone
This formation united Jean-Pierre Caens in the saxophone with other musicians for a various, colorful and expressive repertoire. You can thus see him in soloist, within a band (like the "Ensemble de saxophone de Provence" for instance), or also associated to Jacques Raynaut and Alexandra Krutchkova-Delannoy (piano), Claude Crousier (Clarinets)...

If the initial (and main) formula -soloist or duet- is the more popular, Sax Sax Plus stays open to other opportunities. That's why Jean-Pierre Caens recently played with his brother Thiérry Caens in an association saxophones-trompets-organ as prestigious as original. The union of this two talented performers, meeting with organists all around France has been warmly acclaimed both by public and musical critics.
The program is diverse and innovant, still with this major modern and contemporary axis: Claude Debussy, André Caplet, Darius Milhaud, Florent Schmitt, André Jolivet, Luciano Berio, Luis De Pablo, Giacento Scelsi, Philippe Boivin, Henry Fourès, François Jeanneau, François Rossé, Jean-Claude Risset, Robert Coinel etc.
