This year 2010-2011, Jean-Pierre Caens is putting together the residency of Japanese compositor Susumu Yoshida in Aix-en-Provence's National School of Music "Darius Milhaud". The creation among others of a piece for Saxophone solo, KODAMA IV is scheduled for the end of residency, in Decembre 2010.
The creation ordered by Jean-Pierre Caens to the composer Denis BADAULT has been honoured and played with the saxophones band of Montpellier at the Scène nationale of Sète. Its title, "A la Wayne Again" is a hommage the composor gives to the famous creator and jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter.
